Operating time & Performance

The operating time that manufacturers quote is based on a fully charged battery.

Since products are supplied in a discharged state it is necessary to deliver an initial level of charge before the battery will start to deliver the expected performance. If you are winding, we suggest an initial charge of at least 15-30 minutes at 120 RPM. If your item allows external charging then this method may be more convenient - please refer to your operating manual for charge times etc.

Charging time is cumulative (unless the item is used between charges) and you can therefore deliver a 30 minute charge in a series of shorter bursts - however, we recommend at least 5 minutes winding each time.

Once your product has taken it's initial charge you can keep it recharged with ocassional 'top up' winds of a few minutes or as required depending on your usage.

Browsing the site

We have tested this website using Internet Explorer (IE) 7 (7.0.5730.11), Firefox (3.0.1), Opera (v9.52), Safari (v3.1.2) and Chrome (0.2.149.29) and they all work well.

Displaying Non-secure Items

When browsing our secure pages you may encounter a warning message "This page contains both secure and non-secure items. Do you want to display the non-secure items."

This is caused by references on the secure (https) pages to images that are stored in the non-secure area of the site. You may choose 'Yes' or 'No'  as you feel comfortable. Your shopping experience will not be affected.
